The VACUUM CONDENSER Message
VACUUM CONDENSER flashing on a Sub-Zero 600 Series built before serial 1810000 means the control sees too little airflow across the condenser. Switch the unit off at the control panel and look at the condenser behind the top grille. If it is clean and the message returns, call Sub-Zero Repair Redmond on (425) 905-2822.

Which units show it
The message belongs to the early 600 control only: units built before serial number 1810000, in the seven base configurations the service manual covers — 601R, 601F, 611, 632, 642, 650 and 690. The later control reports the same condition with a flashing SERVICE light instead.
Three versions of one warning
Sub-Zero’s troubleshooting guide lists it with a warm freezer, with a warm refrigerator, and with both compartments still at temperature. Normal temperatures mean it was caught early; a warm compartment means the condenser has struggled for a while, or a second fault such as a door out of adjustment is in play.
If the condenser is clean
A clean coil and a message that keeps coming back moves the job to the fan: a blade fouled or loose on its shaft, a motor disconnected or failed, or a control board that no longer feeds it. The manual also names a slow refrigerant leak as a possible early cause, and that is sealed-system work.
Clearing it
The service manual’s way to clear it after the repair is a power cycle: UNIT ON/OFF to off, then on again.
